Stocking Filler: 22nd December: Oxfam gifts 2 for 1

Every day leading up to Christmas I will be posting a little stocking filler idea.  I will try and choose global products.  If you can't get hold of the product in your country, then I hope this will be fun to read and help give you present themes.

22st of December!

Oxfam Unwrapped!
Buy one gift, give to two people.

Oxfam, the charity, have some great christmas gifts.  Gone are the days of 2nd hand or nothing... they actually have a lot of fairtrade food and gifts in their shops.  The also have some lovely donation gifts.  You can buy a gift parcel for a loved one (you get a certificate and a magnet) but the money buys things like...a goat, some school books, a toilet, fresh water for a village... and so on.

If you know someone who is a teacher, or likes to read, why not buy them a batch of schools books or pencils.

You may not now this, but in Africa a pencil means the word to a child.  This is because if they have a pencil.. they are allowed to go to school.  If they go to school they can get an education.  It can change their life.

Perhaps you know some newlyweds? £25 will buy a goat but £50 will buy a goat couple (and has a cute picture!)

Gifts start from £6 and you can see their range http://www.oxfam.org.uk/shop/oxfam-unwrapped?ito=1482

Or google Oxfam Unwrapped- or just visit your local store.  With so many gifts to choose from, why not leave that tacky tie or pair of socks on the chain store's shelf, and buy and Oxfam gift this christmas? Buy two presents at the same time and help someone you have never met.

Be an angel this christmas!

Suitable for everyone!! :)
Other charities are available.
